I missed Halloween :((

Very upset because I didn't get to celebrate Halloween this year like I usually do :'((

So, i've been watching Ghost Hunters and playing Skyrim almost all day instead haha! Hopefully i'll be attending my family's Halloween party next year, it sucks not being able to do anything this year.

And that's what my extremely boring day has consisted of...

But to brighten up the night i'm watching South Park, it's my favourite, man!

Practicing

Hola my hard rocking amigos!

Right no (apart from writing this blog) i'm practicing for my solo GCSE bass piece, my printer unfortunately ran out of ink beforehand, so my dad had to put the music on his USB Drive and take it into work to print off, so thanks dad!

And this song better be good enough for my music teacher because he said it may be limited (e.g repetitive) which most bass lines usually are (not all of them). I wanted something more challenging than I usually play, that can enhance my skill but is still fairly moderate yet can overall get me a good enough grade. So I choose 'Dani California' by the Red Hot Chili Peppers, I like the song, like the band and believe it or not, I like playing funk music, or anything with a funky-type bass line. And figured this ought to get me a good enough grade.

Back to my music teacher, I actually saw him in town the other day while I was out with my friends. He looked like he was coming from this new donut shop that's just opened. Went to the revision class at school, I learned nothing, everything the teachers covered we already knew... what a waste of what could have been a possibly good day really.

Let's stop talking about musical problems now, shall we and get on with the rest of the day? Yeah okay.

Well, I went to my revision class today and it was shit. Learned nothing new, everything the teachers covered we all knew (which is good in some aspect), but I expected to learn more (lol swat). Anyways, we were allowed to leave early after dinner and I was outta there straight away.

And that was my day :3

Papa was a copper, mama was a hippie.

The after party!

Just gotten back from my friends fancy dress birthday party, had an awesome time, singing along to music, eating, listening to music and dancing! So happy birthday Nikita, hope you've had a good 15th because I have sure had a good time!

 Happy birthday to you!"

Early Blog!

Pretty bored right now, so early blog today guys!

Woke up to see the funniest thing on my twitter timeline today... a picture of Deryck Whibley (lead singer of Sum 41) and his girlfriend Ariana Cooper dressed up as Avril Lavigne (Deryck's Ex-Wife) and Chad Kroeger.

Hmm, what do you guys think of this, do you think there's a hint of jealousy from Deryck as Avril is engaged to Chad now? Or do you think it's just a friendly piss-take? Sources say that when Avril and Deryck divorced, they remained friends.

Anyways.

It's my friend's birthday today! Happy Birthday Nikita! And to celebrate, we're going to have a fancy dress party at her house. I'm going as a Pirate, arghhhh! *failed Pirate impression*

Other than that, i'm going to be doing nothing, which i'm actually quite looking forward to as since Friday i've been busy and tomorrow i'm going to a revision class in school to revise for a science exam we have first day we go back to school... which also happens to be bonfire night.

I'll probably write another blog at the end of the day after the party, so I won't put a song quote in like I usually do!

Cheerio!

Birthday Snow!

As I type this, it's snowing where I live. Absolutely buzzing because I love the snow, like really love it! And it's only October as well, never really starts snowing until end of December / the beginning of January.

On the other side of life, I went to town with my friends today in early celebration for my friend Nikita's birthday, ended up buying 'By The Way' (Red Hot Chili Peppers album) for £2 in HMV, a ball closure earring and a Sum 41 shirt that i'm still freaking buzzing about :P

We also went to McDonalds where I ended up buying a 20 chicken nugget meal... I need to learn to stop buying them though because I can never eat it all :L

We all had a really good time, and i'm going over my friends house again on Sunday (her proper birthday) and we're having a fancy dress party, i'm going to go as a pirate YAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR ME MATEYS!

:P

California Rest In Peace!

Finally, off school for a week!

But I still have homework to do. Like 4 big pieces, two of which include doing a 20 page test :L Then my Art, research about an artist, then write about what I done in lesson. And last but not least music homework, finish my class work, choose (and practice) what I want to do for my solo performance and come up with composition ideas.

I already know what i'm going to do for my solo performance, 'Dani California' by the Red Hot Chili Peppers off their album 'Stadium Arcadium', I just need the sheet music for the bass, then i'll learn it. The deadline isn't until December 14th, but the earlier and longer I practice, the more accurate and better grade i'll get.

And I know what i'm going to do for my musical composition, it's the song I was telling you guys about in my blog 'Writing Songs' . I've got the bass and the guitar worked out completely, I think i've got a potential chorus, all I need to do is to figure out the drums, the rest of the lyrics, figure out a title, and then... BAM! IT'S FINISHED!

As i'm primarily as bass player, i've focused more on the bass to make sure it doesn't sound too boring, which is why the riff I wrote originally for the guitar, is now the riff for the bass. To me the song sounds good so far, probably one of the best songs i've ever written, so I have a good feeling about it.

Hmm... i'm the mood for some Red Hot Chili Peppers!

"California rest in peace.
 Simultaneous release,
 California show your teeth.
She's my priestess i'm your priest,
 Yeah, yeah!"

Tomorrow

Woohoo, breaking up from school after tomorrow and we've got a full week off :D

I've got nothing really important to inform you guys on, I just haven't blogged since Sunday.

School's been the same, nothing interesting at home as happened and I haven't been anywhere with my mates for about a week or two.

The only productive thing i've actually done, was, I made up my own bass riff and I learned a song i've been yearning to learn for ages ( Avril Lavigne's 'Tomorrow' ), but I couldn't find the right chords... until up to now of course.

It's a brilliant song, it may not be as legendary as 'November Rain' by Guns N' Roses or 'Imagine' by John Lennon, but it's a song you listen to when you're feeling down in the dumps and it gives you motivation to move on. The lyrics are amazing and creative, yet at the same time so simple.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ONLr-zweXH0   <--- Live Performance of 'Tomorrow' Warning: You may cry!

"And I wanna believe you,
When you tell me that it'll be ok,
Yeah I try to believe you,
Not today, today, today, today, today...

Tomorrow it may change,
Tomorrow it may change,
Tomorrow it may change,
Tomorrow it may change..."
                       - 'Tomorrow' by Avril Lavigne

I wish I could post all the song lyrics because they're so amazing >.<

Derby Day!

Sunderland vs Newcastle derby today!

....Unfortunately I can't watch the match as I don't have Sky Sports and I don't have a match ticket (and I probably wouldn't be allowed to attend a derby as fighting breaks out 24/7) :'(

Meh, i'll just keep up with the updates from twitter.

Okay change of plan i'm going to my auntie's to watch the match, it kicks off at half one! Of course i'll be rooting for my home team, Sunderland!

Ha'way the lads!

And the addiction starts again!

I need serious help guys, my addiction has started again... MY SKYRIM ADDICTION!

FUS RO DAH!

Yes, I borrowed the game off my uncle again, and i've been on it all day. I fucking love it, going around slaughtering dragons, assassinating vampires and doing quests is fun ^_^

But I hate the spiders.

No joke, first time I ever played the game; during one of the main missions, a giant frostbite spider crawled down from the fucking ceiling. I didn't know what to do, and almost shit myself with the shock I got... I screamed my pants off, my parents had no clue what was happening and they shat themselves too.

Then I started to laugh because i've never had such a shock in my life.

My fear of spiders (Arachnophobia) didn't really help the situation either. But i'm not scared of them anymore, so it's all goooooooood :)

( So to my friends reading this: If you're planning to ask me to hang out anytime soon during the holidays, i'll most likely say no because i'll probably be playing this. But you'll be a damn good persuader if you do manage to get me out. )

Anyways, other than me getting 'Skyrim: The Elder Scrolls V', I went through to Nana's and Granda's house to get my dinner. And she gave me an vintage denim jacket (prefer the word vintage rather than old). But it's slightly too big. SO, I asked my other Nana back through where I live if she could do anything with it.

And because my Nana is simply amazing, she said she could cut off the sleeves (without ruining it) and can turn it into a denim waistcoat :D

I've actually wanted a denim waistcoat for a while now, i'm sure it's on my blog: 10 Things I Would Like For Christmas

So came from Seaham with two things I want. SCORE! :P

Now let me put a song quote expressing how I feel about Skyrim through the amazing song-writing skills of Blink-182:

"Come on let me hold you,
 Touch you,
 Feel you
 Always
 Kiss you taste,
 You all night
 Always"
            'Always' by Blink-182.

Finally Recorded!

Finally recorded the music coursework today, thank god, beats doing it tomorrow.

Practiced twice today, in music and after school, then we recorded. Our music teacher just suddenly at the moment of the recording, decided he would play bass for us but he killed the rock vibe because he stood there and didn't even jump around.

As per usual we messed around till the last minute, but we pretty much already knew the song we were going to do ( 'Smells Like Teen Spirit' ). My friends Cooper and Adam came into our practice room and put on a lil' gig as I like to say (mainly consisting of Green Day songs); and then later on, Cooper signed the back of my English book as if he were famous.

At the beginning of the day we had a biology science mock exam in the main hall. I feel like I got myself a moderate score, so i'm not really anxious or anything. But when I found out I got the results I better get a good score, revised for it for about an hour :O

And that's what happened today!

"Far away, far away
Waste away tonight
I'm wearing my heart on a noose

Far away, far away

Waste away tonight
Tonight my heart's on the loose"

What number Random Blog is this? :P

Just had practice, like literally... it went well (and was quite funny). Jay couldn't learn the drums enough in time by the end of this week, so we've decided to change the song from 'Pieces' by Sum 41 to a song we all know and like, 'Smells Like Teen Spirit' by Nirvana.

As we were practicing decided I would bring out my birthday malteasers to share... and Jay accidentally knocked them down behind the piano in the practice room. Good thing I didn't bring in my chocolate M&M's otherwise I would have cried. I fucking love M&M's.

Kenny had monster (an energy drink), and somehow managed to get it in her eye. I thought I accidentally hit her in the eye with the top of my guitar, and I crapped myself.

Also, my mam rang me, I had her on speaker, and Adam (whom once again popped into our practice room) started screaming down the phone. Me, Kenny and Jay were laughing our heads off and my mam started to get angry because she couldn't hear me and I couldn't hear her and eventually hung up on me.

Jay also tackled Adam many times on the floor, started kicking him and resulting in Adam calling him names such as: 'Lanky Nobhead'. 'Twas funny!

All in all, had a good time and ready to record on Thursday!

"With the lights out,
 It's less dangerous.
 Here we are now,
 Entertain us.
 I feel stupid and contagious,
Here we are now entertain us."

Legally 15!

Hey guess what guys?

I'm legally 15 today woohoo!

It's been an awesome day, went out to the with my friends. Went into HMV where I bought 2 CD's ('Combat Rock' by The Clash and 'Master Of Puppets' by Metallica) 2 for £10. I also bought 2 stickers (a monkey wearing headphones and a 'I Hate Mondays' sticker) for my guitar.

Then we popped in to the Disney store and got a happy birthday message off the staff along with a free 'happy birthday' badge and a card. This was all thanks to my cousin whom works there :P We wandered around a bit more and went to McDonalds for dinner, and got sang happy birthday for the 2nd time by my friends, and got a little birthday cupcake with 15 small 'Happy Birthday' flags on :D

Soon afterwards came back to my house and battled viciously on guitar hero, and went back out to a nearby park for an hour.

And i'd like to thank my friends for wishing me a happy birthday, making today so awesome and for getting me gifts (even though they really didn't have to).

And thanks to my family for the gifts and making today especially better :P

"It's my birthday and i'll do what I want to!
 Fuck you it's my birthday!
A special holiday only for me, so do what I say.
It's my party i'll make you cry if I want to
 Or leave.
Fuck you, it's not your birthday
 So do what I say

For 24 hours you're wishing me well.
 364 days i'm in hell,
 Oh well,
 Happy birthday to me!"

Schtuff

Couldn't think of a title so I guess 'schtuff' will do :)

Had right laughs in music (music is a laugh in general) and history, the history teacher wouldn't stop picking on my cousin Kenny, everything she done he had a reaction for it. Even when she took her contact-lenses out he said "Jessica stop the looking in the mirror you vein child" and mimicked everything she said, me and my mate Keith were in fits of laughter. Got absolutely no work done in history too, just sat there scrolling through the pages of memebase.

Actually I saw my history teacher this morning strolling past my form singing his head off, many thoughts wandered through my mind wondering what he gets up to on a morning to make him so happy... hmm...

And yesterday I missed my drum lessons as the teacher wasn't able to make it due to personal issues :'(

Oh well, anyways, tonight i'm going to see 'Disney On Ice', yeah you wouldn't really imagine me, an almost 15 year old girl that likes punk-rock and loud guitars going to see 'Disney On Ice'. I went last year thinking I was going to hate it, I thought it would all be 'High School Musical' and 'Hannah Montana' but it wasn't, it was old Disney like 'Mickey Mouse' and 'The Lion King'. And it's funny watching them slip over on the ice...... i'm a cruel person.

Practice And Haribos!

Last time it was 'Practice and Pancakes', this time it's 'Practice and Haribos'.

This is because I brought some sour Haribo Cherries into practice... which resulted in me and Jay eating most of them... and them my friend Adam (who was supposed to be in another practice room) ended up eating the rest :L. 'Twas funny though because every time my other friend (Adam) picked up the Haribo packet, Jay full forced rugby tackled him to get the packet back..... I think he likes Haribos a bit too much.

Even though we were supposed to practice, we couldn't get the electronic drums working and it resulted in us being idiots, throwing drumsticks off the wall (because they bounce back really far), Adam took off down the hall with my guitar 'Dee' (my Epiphone Sg), Kenny hid my Haribos (before Adam ate the rest). And that's basically what we done for an whole hour until we left.

But we did practice one song the whole way through, obviously it was only guitar and vocals because we couldn't get the shitty drums working. And that song was 'Pieces' by Sum 41, the song we need to record by next week because that's when the deadline for the coursework is... yay for late practicing :')

Not only practice was funny, the whole school day was too as it consisted me and my mate Keithy saying in things in stupid voices and getting excited about our birthdays (I'm 15 in 5 days and he's 15 in 11 days). He made himself cry happy tears because he was getting excited.

"With many years ahead to fall in line,
Why would you wish that on me?
I never wanna act my age.
 What's my age again?
 What's my age again?"

P.S: Ooooh, i've got my drum lessons tomorrow :D ..............and aghhh shit got RE homework to do :L

Practice and Pancakes.

You can't beat 'Aunt Bessie's Pancakes' kids!... just had 2 and they're absolutely lovely, especially with strawberry syrup mmm...

Anyways, been practicing today with my friend Goodrick and Kita (both nicknames :P) and we started carrying on while our music teacher, (whom we nickname 'Walty P') was in a meeting. 'Twas funny because I took my school shoes off, ran out the classroom with Kita and I fell over. I guess it's safe to say we were both in kinks because of my little trip :)

Also had quarrel with my friend today, the story is she likes Justin Bieber, I don't. And our conversation mainly consisted of this:

Cherry: *singing Justin Bieber*
Me: Shut the fuck up now
Cherry: *continues singing*
Me: Justin Bieber is extremely un-talented, he doesn't write his own songs and is auto-tuned.
Cherry: Omg, no he's not he's amazing.
Me: Is that bullshit I smell? It seems to be coming from your mouth.
Cherry: He's amazing.
Me: He's a mug.

Aaand the rest of the conversation was basically me insulting Bieber and her arguing back. You will hear me say everyone has their opinion, and I respect that, I just feel very strong about my opinions, hah!

Anyways, back on topic, tomorrow i'm going to practice again with my cousin Kenny and my friend Jay, 'tis gonna be awesome. I'm gonna bring in my Epiphone SG (in vintage cherry red) and rock out the room. And I will be wearing my sexy socks while practicing, fuck yeah.

Dance Battles

Went out today with Kenny and Meeps (a new friend of mine, obviously 'meeps' is a nickname).

...Aaaaand we had a dance off and a singing battle with these young kids in a nearby park, as terrible as my singing and dancing was, we whooped their asses!

But we gave them credit for taking part and challenged them to another dance off next time we see them, haha!

Short blog I know, but that's probably got to be the highlight of the day :P

Sitting here, waiting.

S'up guys? I'm sitting here, waiting for my chinese to arrive, so hungry :'( and it doesn't help that my mam is watching 'Take Me Out' and that fucking Paddy McGuinness is doing my head in with his shitty jokes.

Nothing productive happened today, went through to see my Nana and Granda in Seaham, got my dinner there, came back and watched Scuzz for many hours.

Oh, i'm also on Skype with my cousin Kenny being total fucking idiots.

P.S because it's a short blog, no song quotes :'((((( lulz

Metallica Time!

Mam, sister and nana have went out the house to do some shopping, y'know what this means?.........

TIME TO BLAST METALLICA FUCK YEAH!

....And i've just crushed my brother's Ice Cream off my fore-head because of 'Master Of Puppets'.

Don't know really what else to type, so uhm, ROCK ON BITCHEZ!

" Come crawling faster
  Obey your master
  Your life burns faster
  Obey your master
  Master, Master of puppets!
  I'm pulling your strings
Twisting your mind and smashing your dreams!"

                -'Master Of Puppets' by Metallica

Edit/Update: I couldn't really concentrate on what to write in my blog earlier because as you can see Metallica was infiltrating my ears. Actually nothing much happened in school today apart from Kenny fell over and this other girl, Hev, almost fell on her today. And my mate Keithy tripped over my other friend Jovi (we call my friend Jovi because of her obsession with Bon Jovi).
My mam also bought me a sketch-pad to put all my lil' drawings in :)

Music Shenanigans (School Blog #10)

Feeling slightly better today believe it or not guys.

Anyways. Brought my new electro-acoustic guitar (Joe Pass Signature) in to school today, and I got to say, my teacher was astounded how nice he thought it was, and so were most of the class. Hope it doesn't sound like i'm boasting, I hate boasting and that's why I hesitated to bring it in for previous lessons, buuuut my friend really wanted to see it so I brought it in.

We done a lil' group performance and it went... well, let's just say, it didn't go according to plan. I played fine during practice but when it came to performing in front of people I totally messed up >.< felt like I was learning guitar all over again. The timing for me was too fast and I lacked behind was the problem... didn't strum quick enough and made myself look like an idiot on front of people. Dear lawd. BUT I SWEAR I'LL PLAY BETTER NEXT TIME :P

During the practice whilst sir went out the room, me, Kenny and my other mate (i'll call him Jay) started messing around. He began to play 'Holiday' by Green Day, I played along with him on my guitar. I then started playing 'Smells Like Teen Spirit' by Nirvana, Jay, this time joined in with the drums. Then he got pissed off with the drums because he said they were shit and tried to sort them out. Whilst he was attempting to sort them out, I began to play 'Everybody Hurts' by R.E.M and Jay started singing a small bit of it in a stupid voice. Me and Kenny also played along to 'Pieces' by Sum 41 and we were all doing stupid things in general. Haha!

I also nearly got sent out of music for some reason too, i'll admit I was messing around, but I stopped and began to listen. Then my friend came over and gave me the rubbish tags off his bag for no reason and, I whispered "what's this?" then I got in trouble again, dafuq? Funny thing is, he almost got sent out as well. Make that two... almost.

And all that happened in music.

Everything else after music on a Thursday is shit; that was probably the only reason I wanted to go to school today, for music and to see friends.

Song quote time!

" Load up on guns, bring your friends
It's fun to lose and to pretend
  She's overboard and self-assured
Oh, no, I know a dirty word"

Destroy The World With My La-ser. (School Blog #9)

Hi guys.

Been sent home early because over the past few days i've felt terrible. As soon as I got into the car on the way home broke down crying, don't know why I feel like this.

My nana said i've probably got a virus because my older cousin felt the same too, just horrible for no reason. As I type this I was supposed to be in a test, and never in my life have I felt nervous for a test like I have today, my legs felt like jelly.

I was supposed to do this test today as I went on a music trip last week and missed out. But i'd rather do it by myself some other time.

Y'know what instead of a song quote, i'm gonna describe how I feel with a picture:

Writing Songs.

Can't remember what number Random Blog this is, but anyways...

Still been feeling kinda down, confused and angry for some reason. So, taking all these emotions and creating a song, hooray!

Currently don't have any lyrics, but i'm feeling quite happy about the guitar and bass tabs that are in it and right now i'm writing a little riff for the break-down. And soon i'll be getting drum lessons, so hopefully I can put some drums in myself, then eventually figure out some wording.

If I had to describe the song, I would say it sounds along the lines of melodic-hardcore (some call this hardcore pop-punk) and/or alternative rock. Or to put it even simpler, it sounds like something you'd hear off Sum 41's album 'Chuck' as Sum 41 are great/heavy influences to me.

Doing things I enjoy boosts my mood, unfortunately for me I only write when feel heavy emotion, whether that be sadness, extreme happiness or anger etc... but hey, like I said a few blogs back you can't rush creativity and good material.

"So as your bloods running thin, your time's running out,
No one will be listening, not even when you shout!
Your angels turn to devils, you'll finally figure out,
That no one will be with you in the end".

 - Welcome To Hell by Sum 41, album 'Chuck'

I hate mondays (school blog #8)

I fucking hate Mondays. I really do. Especially today.

As if you haven't already guessed this is one of the 'I hate everyone' kinda days. Especially those new little annoying year 7 chavs who think they're absolutely amazing and call you 'cunt' for absolutely no reason because they think they're 'hard'. Fucking pissheads.

I'm an extremely quick-tempered person, especially when i'm in a bad mood. It's a good thing I can control it though otherwise most people I know would end up flying out of the school windows. I'm not a tough person, but I could pack a strong punch if I had to.

I can't be bothered to waste my time around stupid people and chavs that think they're all 'it'.

 *rant over*

The only actual funny thing that's happened today is we went to collect my friend Lor's electronic baby. I hate dolls... but this one I was terrified of. She made me hold it while she went to her locker it was super creepy and I was anxious in case it cried and I dropped it on the floor because it monitors abusive behavior.
