Sunday, bloody Sunday (Random Blog #7)

This is going to be a short blog.

Ugh, just woke up yet still tired. Going out with a few of my friends after dinner today if they're still up for it then i'll be coming back home and probably do last minute homework if I have any.

I feel like i've overcome a little bit of my cold today, it better stay like that and that's it really.

Sorry the blogs short, but if I find out anything else more today, i'll make sure to edit/update this blog and put it in here.

Aaaaand it's time for the lil song quote I said i'd put in each blog.

"Turn my head its back to bed with no delay,
Can't be bothered by the phone ten times a day.
Why get up my morning doesn't even start till two,

Forget reality waking up is hard to do."
                -'Heart Attack' by Sum 41

~RachLaDudette

Update/ Edit:

Went out with a few friends today, had a good time. Went around Ryhope (near where I live) singing songs like 'Highway to Hell' and 'We Are The Champions' by AC/DC and Queen. We were extremely hyper, many chavs gave us the looks. Hanging with friends automatically boosts my mood.

Also, i'm a spare bassist in my friends band because they got a new guy, but I don't resent them for it, at least they see me as an option (if that's a good thing?). My friends are mint. Even though I only have like 5.

Poorly: Random Blog #6

Hi guys.

Ugh, haven't been feeling too well over the past week with this cold i've had, and i've just been feeling a little bit down in general for some reason.

Stayed back last night after school with my cousin Kenny to practice a song called 'Pieces' by Sum 41 for our music coursework that's due in on October 19th.

Also, i've been urging to write a song, but I can't think of anything. I'm usually good at coming up with catchy guitar chords/tabs but i'm shit at coming up with lyrics, I usually make them more cheesy than I intent to. But I guess creativity takes it's time.

Currently listening to 'Some Say' by Sum 41. Brilliant song, it's the first song I listen to when i'm feeling down. Wish I could write a song as good as that, it's probably the only song that inspires me and motivates me to do anything when i'm not feeling so great.

*Edit!: Later on i'm going to see the Roker Park lights or something, then coming back with a chinese. That'll make me feel better.

Y'know what, I think at the end of most my blogs, i'll put a little song quote for each mood i'm in, eh? That sounds good.

"Think before you make up your mind.
  You don't seem to realize,
I can do this on my own.
And if I fall I'll take it all,
  It's so easy after all."

- 'Some Say' by Sum 41

Today was awesome! (#School Blog 7)

Like I said in the title, today was awesome!

Let me elaborate. I've been on a trip with my music class and the year 11's music class to a Indonesian chapel in Gateshead (North-East of England) and it was really cool... well, for me at least.

Bus trip was awesome, if you know me, you'll understand I love long bus-rides more than I love going to the destination itself. I messed around with my cousin Kenny while listening to music and using spare paper from her notebook to throw off our friends whom were sitting in front of the bus.

When we got there, we sat down and we had to take our shoes off as a sign of respect Kenny and this other lad both sitting behind me laughed at my stripy green and black socks as I called them my 'sexy socks'. We got taught a lil' bit about the chapel and the Indonesian musical culture... and eventually we got to go on the instruments.

Indonesian Gongs

There were all sorts of things from gongs to Indonesian style xylophones. I played some sort of instrument surrounded by spherical cymbals (No, they were not drums!), can't seem to remember the name but I really enjoyed it. We learned several Indonesian music pieces and chopped and changed instruments.

We had a lil' break, me, Kenny, the lad behind me and a girl sitting beside me had a discussion about zombie games and movies and how the new series of The Walking Dead starts on my birthday (October 14th). And about how this kid we nickname 'a paedo' (friendly way though) is taking home an electronic baby and what he would 'do' with it.

We then went back to the instruments, played a bit more, learned a bit more and then it was ready to go back to school.... sigh.

On the bus on the way back, 'twas awesome, found out the dude that sat behind me in the chapel enjoyed bands like: Metallica, The Ramones, The Sex Pistols, Nirvana, Sum 41. We also talked about things we regretted doing (I once punched my brother in the face full force because he was throwing my Narnia crayons and pens out of my box), Kay regretted smoking (she doesn't do it now!), and how the guy regretted stabbing his sister in the arm with a pen or something.

Then I come back to school, and start to feel like shit because most of my friends are talking to me all at once, tugging at my blazer, and trying to get my attention. And I hate when people are in my face all talking to me at once being the center of attention. But meh, all together today has still been good.

That concludes my day.

Epic School Moment: School Blog #6 !

Today was the epicest moment in Rachel history ever! *drumroll*:

I got locked in the school toilets, ta-da!

Yes, I got locked in the school toilet cubicle for about 15-20 minutes. 4 teachers had to come and rescue me and budge the lock in the door. I found this absolutely hilarious, as so did my friends. It's a good thing i'm not claustrophobic otherwise i'd be truly screwed and crying.

Also, in PE I put my tracksuit bottoms on back-to-front, put my hand accidentally in yogurt, had a spider on the gym mats I was lying on (shat myself), got my trousers hidden in the changing rooms, my tie stolen by my friend and I got pushed outside by my friends (and other lads we were hanging around with)... it was absolutely lashing it down with rain.

Good thing about today is I finished my story based on the man that couldn't speak in the 'Miracle On St Davids Day' poem. The teacher read it and said it was a Grade B, but with extra variation it could become an A!

So, I was quite proud of myself, all I need to do now is finish typing it up, I titled it 'The Man That Couldn't Speak'.

And that concludes my day! Buzzing for the music trip on Thursday!

Random Blog #5

Today I can't see Public Image Ltd as my friends couldn't go with me, oh well. My friends Forget The Kiss are playing the same day as them too, so i've asked them if they see Johnny and his band to get an autograph for me hehe!

Just woken up... not much going to happen today, i'm in the house alone with my Brother because my Mam has went shopping along with my Nana and Sister. Then i'm going to my other Nana's for dinner and back home again.

Hmm maybe I shall playe Metallica to wake me up a lil' bit?

School Blog #5

Tonight i'm going to see my friend act in school production. To be honest I don't even know what the production is...

Anyways.

Today was brilliant, as every Thursday so far has been. Had double music brought my guitar in and jammed away on it during our lil' break. Sir put on Irish music and started dancing along to it.

Progressed a bit more in music theory which i'm over the moon about, even though we got homework which I don't understand... AT ALL.

Kenny (or Kay whatever you wanna call her) chased after this lad after he teased her about his friend liking her. She chased him down 2 corridors and swat-knotted (pulled) his tie and tripped him over. 'Twas all a joke though so he was cool with it.

History was good, as usual, and so was art. English was also good as we are creating a story for coursework based on the poem: 'Miracle on St Davids Day'. And that is what my day consisted of.

Also, quite excited as next week on Thursday my music class are going to a trip to a chapel somewhere in Gateshead to do an Indonesian music course.

Good lessons equal good days.

RE:6 Demo and other stuff.

Just been watching my dad play the Resident Evil: 6 Demo for the Xbox 360, and i've got to say it looks pretty damn awesome! Definitely on my list of games to buy!

Leon has got to be one of my favourite characters, so it makes the game more fun as he is one of the three main playable ones. And my dad's reaction at the end when a zombie popped down onto the car window was hilarious, he properly jumped out of his skin.

Leon

Other than that, school today was alright, 'International Talk Like A Pirate Day' was trending on twitter, so me and my friend Lor (TheTomboysLife) decided to talk like pirates the whole day, and best thing about it was I was captain. The only bad part of the day was my yogurt exploded all over my packed-lunch. I had no wipes to clean it up or anything, so I had to use scrap paper out of my book (where I keep all of my musical-related ideas) to clean it up with. FML.

Other than the yogurt incident the day was all goooooooood :D

And seriously, my dad's reaction face was hilarious, very similar to the picture below.

School Blog #4: History Shenanigans... again!

The title says it all.

I'll spare you the long story and i'll put it simply: we were multitasking in history, messing on and working (because we're bosses) our hilarious teacher came over and started messing on too. We somehow got onto the subject about hippies and sir explains how he stomps them and doesn't really like them (in a joking manner). Of course one of my friends happens to love hippies and the whole hippie-vibe and starts to slowly take offense.

On the way out of the classroom our history teacher was still being a comedic-genius and picked up a packet of multicoloured confetti/decorative stars and sprinkled them on us as we were walking out of the door saying "Let the spirit be with you all!".

My friend was pissed, and shot off up the corridor but it was too hard not to laugh, it was so damn funny!

History is now my new favourite lesson along music.

Random Blog #3

This blog is for my friend (TheTomboysLife) because she has been bugging me to write one for the past 10 minutes.

I didn't want to write anything because nothing much interested has happened today. School was pretty boring. Apart from mine and my friends convo about what idiotic things we would do if we were neighbors, and about this one time she bought a chicken.

And that's it really.

I think instead of mentioning her blog all the time, i'll refer to her as Lor. It's not her real name though, just a nickname.

Beauty Queen

S'up guys.

I got my eyebrows waxed and tweezed earlier on by my cousin, first time i've ever had them done; feeling like a beauty queen... just keeding of course!

Usually i'm a sucker for pain but it wasn't that bad. I think I deserve a sticker for being brave :3

But also, I cut my finger today, went to open my guitar case and one of the flippy locks clicked upwards and cut my finger so now i'm wearing a plaster and I can't play my guitar properly because of it.

But to lighten this situation up, i've just had 2 pancakes with strawberry syrup on :D

Random Blog #2

Today I got my guitar off my Great Uncle! It's absolutely amazing, and not only did I get a guitar, I also got an amazing amp with it for free. I'm absolutely ecstatic and extremely grateful.

Meeting my Great Uncle for the first time was awesome! He let me have a go of his new guitar and let me play his Electric Piano. I'm not an amazing piano player, in fact I only know the basics, but he went ahead and called me a 'little composer' hehe!

And that's really the only interesting thing that happened to me today, I know where I get my passion for music from. Wow, that sounded cheesy... but that's what my Mam and Dad also tell me.

Me and my new guitar :D
I've decided to name my guitar 'Joe' as it is a Joe Pass (a musician) Signature Model! It's an electric and works as an acoustic (but not electro-acoustic don't get them mixed up).

That's everything that happened today!

~RachLaDudette

ALSO!: Tomorrow i'm getting my eyebrows done (waxed precisely) for the first time, hopefully it goes well. After all, my cousin who's doing them did work in a beauty parlor beforehand, eeek >.<

Just to let you know.

Here's my cousins blog (A.K.A Kay/Kenny): http://chordkenny41.blogspot.co.uk

...And my friend's blog: http://thetomboyslife.blogspot.co.uk/

If you're ever wondering who 'Sum' or 'Markette' is in their blogs, it's me. TheTomboysLife calls me 'Sum' because of my passionate obsession with Sum 41. And my Cousin refers to me as 'Markette' (our female version of the name Mark) because I play bass like Mark Hoppus.

Just a bit of info for you there!

School Blog #3 , and why you shouldn't give me energy drinks.

Hello people of the internet

Today I went into school feeling like shit, no reason for it, just one of those days. I couldn't be arsed to even open my mouth to talk to anyone. I went through the first two periods feeling like shit and so on.

It eventually came to break and my cousin (I'll call her Kay on here) had a relentless energy drink. Believe it or not i'm not allowed energy drinks according to my mam even though i've never drank a full one in my life. Anyways, my cousin offered me a drink of it. And because i'm a rebel, I did. I didn't drink all of it, just about full 3 gulps.

Now, I don't know how fast relentless kicks in, but I could feel the sugar rushing around my body. Since i'm not used to them, I got quite hyper very fast, and also, the full bottle of Pepsi I downed before hand, probably didn't help me either.

I was bouncing of the walls. I ran outside and one of my mates that hangs around with us, hit me on the head multiple times with his empty Mountain Dew bottle. Since I was hyper, and didn't know what to do. I chased him back into the school pushing through one of my friends who was standing by the door. I was yelling quite loud "Come here you little $*!%" and other similar. My cousin, Kay obviously knew I wasn't allowed energy drinks, panicked, so she and the rest of my friends held me back while my mate legged it up the stairwell in extreme confusion (as he wasn't there when I drank the Relentless).

After the extreme struggle of holding me back, all my friends pinned me down on the floor, as I lay kicking and screaming at them to get off. It didn't work. Apparently I yelled "Get off me, i'm Hulk". I eventually gave up kicking in the air and let my friend who hit me escape.

(Not me :P )

I lay on the floor "thinking what the hell" feeling exhausted and slightly confused, but never the less, still laughing. As I tried to get up, my friend ( thetomboyslife.blogspot.co.uk ) kept on pushing my head back down, thus resulting in me falling on the floor and all my friends were laughing along.

Quickly maths came and it took my about half an hour to properly calm down, but holy shit was it funny looking back on it.

And that my friends, is why you shouldn't give me energy drinks. Wow, imagine what i'm like when i'm drunk...

School Blog #2, I'm in a band and other stuff!

Today has been an awesome day!

Brought my guitar into school today and me and my friends were rocking out to it!

First 2 lessons we had double music (as it is Thursday) and during it my mate asked me to be the bassist in his band, and I reacted with: "Hellz yeah man!" and it truly was an epic moment as he squealed in excitement! Best thing about it is, my friends i'm in the band with are into the same music as me, skilled at instruments, they're lads (less bitchy than girls) and have a hilarious sense of humor (or i'm just easily amused).

Then slightly later on, our teacher let me put on any song I wanted because I was the first follower on my school's music account. Of course, being the nice person I am, I let my friends put on one song and they jammed together on the school's guitars, the first song I choose of my own is 'Josie' by Blink-182.

Later on we had Ancient History, once again the teacher was being funny as fuck so we had an awesome time during that lesson as you do. And at dinner me and my friends (as I like to call 'The Crew' because i'm sad) sat on the stairwell and ate lunch.

Then at the end of the day, I went to pick up my guitar from the music room, had a slight convo with a guy in the same music class as me and went home to further on write this blog.

My Conclusion:
Thursday is the best day of the school week.

Also! I've just downloaded Slender and i'm shitting myself.

School Blog #1

Now, every blog that is mainly centered around my school day I shall name my 'School Blogs'. I know i've previously wrote a few blogs about my school days, but let's start fresh!

Today was alright nothing much interesting happened until 4th period, the time when I have Ancient History, and boy is my teacher funny. I wasn't too keen on him when I had him last year for history, but when he's around a bunch of students that actually want to study history he's hilarious. He'll go around making hilarious voices and doing funny impressions etc, he's just absolutely hilarious.

Actually, when I come to write about it nothing much interesting happened :L

Hm, let's think of something else I can write here... oh yeah! I'm no longer going to my friends' bands gig anymore, it was canceled because apparently the venue is a right mess, which makes me sad :'(

I still may be going to see Johnny Rotten and his band Public Image Ltd though so, yay!

Random Blog #1

For small blogs, that have no importance to them whatsoever, shall be entitled 'Random Blog #[insert number here]'. And this is Random Blog #1 here.

Right now i'm on my bass guitar; I haven't been on it in quite a while (for 4 weeks to be exact) so I thought 'Hey, why not play on it for ol' times sakes?'. And I somehow managed to come up with my funky/ska type sounding bass line, and i'm quite proud of myself and i've wrote it down in my book of awesomness so I won't forget it :D

For my GCSE one of my self-aimed targets was 'To become as amazing as Flea on bass'. And today, I felt like I took my first step towards that target.
The Freddy Mercury picture below me will describe how awesome i'm feeling at this moment.

Getting another guitar!

Yes guys, i'm getting another guitar next week off my great uncle; and i'm quite excited to meet him because i've never met him before!

I'm going to get an 'Epiphone Emperor Joe Pass 2' and it looks a lil' something like this:

I done a little research on Joe Pass he was a Italian-American jazz guitar player, and considered one of the best jazz guitar players of the 20th Century. The cheapest this guitar sells for is £370 I think, and i'm getting it for completely free and i'm very grateful for it.
Joe Pass

I'll be confused on which guitar to play on now, my amazing Epiphone SG or my soon-to-be new Epiphone Emperor :S

Also, right now, i'm studying music theory and how to read and write proper music, as I don't understand it one bit.

So yes it's going to be a very musical weekend, studying at home, studying music at school, going to a concert and then getting my new guitar! Yay :D

6/9/2012

Today was quite good, Thursday has got to be the best day for me lesson-wise and such.

But it was also a very weird day as well! But i'll get to that in a minute after I explain everything else that has happened today.

So, at the beginning of the day we had double music (which obviously took up 1st and 2nd period because it was double), we had break and then ancient history. If any of my friends are reading this, usually i'd rip on our history teacher for not actually teaching us anything. But this time he did, in a weird way. We watched 'Postman Pat'.

Yes, it sounds weird but trust me, it was a really funny lesson. Then we had English 4th period and Art 5th (last) which were okay too ^_^.

But holy crap was music a huge mind-fuck. I can't read proper music so I was truly mind-fucked to the point my brain almost exploded

Anyways, that's it for today, i'll keep you updated!

First day back at school... the aftermath.

Today went better than expected, all the teachers I got were quite decent and some really fun and i'm in the same class sets as my friends :D

My timetable is decent, and I have double music tomorrow first and second lesson, i've taken music as an option so let's see how that'll go down. Hopefully the music teacher this year will help us as other students (whom have just left our school) that have taken GCSE music almost failed because of him. So he better pull his head out of his arse xD !

So, yes, my day has went better than expected, my brother is happy with his first day at school, i'm neutrally happy and my sister is too :)

~RachLaDudette

First day back!

Hey guys, another early blog, i'm going to write this one (before school) and another blog (an after school blog).

Usually the six weeks summer holidays are boring for me, but this year they haven't been so bad. Anyways, today i'm back to school, yeah bummer, right?

Today I go back at 11am, it's my brothers first day of Secondary School as well, and also my sisters first day of Junior School. Obviously my brother is attending my school, but all Year 7's must attend at normal time (half 8) then the upper years (Year 8+) have to go into school at 11. But this is only for the first day back. And my sister goes to school at 9.

Since i've had plenty of time this morning, and i've still got 2 hour left, my morning routine was:
Woke up, stayed downstairs for about an hour, went back upstairs and hopped into shower, got changed into uniform, dried and straightened hair, rang my cousin informing her I shall be walking to school with her and then... wrote this blog.

Like I said in the first paragraph, i'll write another blog after school.

~RachLaDudette

P.S. I really hope when I get given my timetable I don't get this English (Literacy) teacher whom I shalt not name, I really do hate her. She's a bitch, and I will tantrum if I get her.

    Back to school tomorrow :'(

Back to school tomorrow, and it makes me very sad :'(

    Anyway, early blog for once.

Today I went down to Seaham, got some chips for dinner, went to Lickety Splits (an awesome Ice Cream parlour :3) ordered myself a custom sundae which had vanilla, cherry and strawberry ice cream on with M&M's, afterwards I got some sweets out of another shop. Played Left 4 Dead 2 with my brother and wrote this blog.

Might be going out later with my friends if I can still be bothered.

I know it's short but this concludes everything for today :)

    ~RachLaDudette

Edit/Update: Change of plan, not going out anymore :'S

    Saturday, 1 September 2012

    We rule this party!

Today is my cousin's 20th birthday, yesterday we went out to an Italian restaurant called Sambuca (yes, named after the drink) and I must say it was quite good! I had my all time favourite cheese and ham pizza and managed to eat it all... alongside almost a full garlic bread and potato skins because i'm a greedy fucker :3

And as I write this, i've also just literally came back from her house, obviously to celebrate (again :D)... and i'm stuffed off all the food i've ate.

My family totally rules parties :D !
