Just gotten back from Beamish, I had an amazing time.
First of all, for my friends reading this wondering 'but you said you never wanted to go in the first place', i'm always like that. I say i'm not looking forward to a certain event, get forced to go, and when I do go I end up enjoying myself.
Back to Beamish.
I knew it was going to be funny, because as soon as I stepped out of the car, I stood on this patch of ice and I began slipping all over the place. I thought I was going to fall over, I was literally on the verge from falling backwards, but I managed to regain the ninja inside me and stealthily land on my two feet on dry ground.
Anyways, It was amazing seeing how people would traditionally celebrate Christmas! They also put on a play of 'A Christmas Carol' and the actors were really good, it wasn't on a stage though, it was in the streets and in the display houses. My sister was shitting herself at the actors, especially Ebenezer Scrooge, she started crying bless her, but oh my god it was funny.
I also tried my first roasted chestnut, and I must say it was quite delicious! And I also tried warm punch, which I thought I wouldn't like because it smelled weird, but it turns out it was really nice!
The bus drives were funny as well, since they were old-fashioned type buses they had the bus attendants (or whatever the proper name for them are) that stood outside the door as it was driving. One of the dudes was hilarious, as the bus began to move he yelled 'To infinity and beyond!' acting as if he were Buzz Lightyear from Toy Story, and he was just being extremely amusing in general, the whole bus was laughing. It was brilliant because on the bus back to the entrance he was there as well, he was really a nice guy!
Basically, we hiked almost all over Beamish, and before we left we managed to visit the gift shop, where my older cousin (who's just like a big child in some sense) picked up a lamb animal puppet and began having a puppet war with me, so I picked up a pig puppet and we fought to the death. Unfortunately, my cousin won.
And that was just a small clip of my day out at Beamish.
Quote of the day (this time it's not a song) :
*earlier at school*
My friend Shay: Can chickens fly?
Me: Of course not you idiot.
Shay: Well they can.
Me: Okay, so when have you ever seen a chicken flying in the sky above your head?
Shay: OKAY, SINCE WHEN HAVE YOU EVER SEEN 'CHICKEN RUN'?!
Me: *burst out in hysterics laughing my girl balls off*
Keith (sitting beside me) : *laughing his guy balls off*
Nothing to do with the subject but I thought it was quite funny :')
